SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
-
Make sure the roaster is turned off before starting any maintenance work.
-
The power cord must be unplugged or the roaster fully isolated from the electrical supply before removing any panels.
-
Read the instructions in full before starting work, and follow the steps as instructed below
Tools required
- 2.5 mm hex key
- 3 mm hex key
- 7 mm spanner
- Wire cutter

Open the front door and remove rear panel
Guide to this here
Remove drop door cover
Remove the screw and washer from each side of the drop door cover using a 3 mm hex key.

Tilt the top of the cover towards you before gently pulling it outward and placing it to the side.

Replace the drop door motor
Locate the motor cable
Locate where the drop door motor is connected to the printed circuit board (PCB)—the main electronic control board inside the roaster. In this case it is the PCB to the right.

Disconnect it from the connector marked Stepper 4 (upper right corner). Make sure not to pull the wire while disconnecting.

Trace the cable back towards the drop door motor and cut cable ties if needed. Make sure not to cut any wires or damage any insulation.

Open the drop door manually
Use a 4 mm hex key or a screwdriver to manually open the drop door to make access easier.
See the guide here under the section "How to manually open the drop door"
Remove the faulty motor
Use a 7 mm spanner to loosen the set nut that holds the threaded bolt on the motor in place.
Unscrew the threaded bolt with your fingers from the bracket.

Use a 2.5 mm hex key to remove the screws holding the drop door motor in place from underneath.

Remove the drop door motor and place it to the side.

Install the new motor
Install the new drop door motor and fasten the four screws using a 2.5 mm hex key.

Fasten the threaded bolt from the drop door motor to the bracket. Use a 7 mm spanner to fasten the set nut.

Route and connect the cable
Trace the cable back to the PCB and plug it in to the connector marked stepper 4 (upper right corner).

Tie it to the chassis with cable ties where it is needed.

Reinstall the drop door cover
Slide the drop door cover back in place. Fasten it with the washer and screw on each side of the drop door cover.

Make sure that the drop door is closed by manually closing it.
Finish up
Reinstall the rear panel
Close the front door and lock it up.
