undefined SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Make sure the roaster is turned off before starting any maintenance work.

  • The power cord must be unplugged or the roaster fully isolated from the electrical supply before removing any panels.

  • Read the instructions in full before starting work, and follow the steps as instructed below

Tools required

  • Flat-head screwdriver, coin, or similar to open front door
  • 8 mm spanner

Instructions

Open the front door

Turn the latch with a flat-head screwdriver, thin coin, or similar, and pull the door open.

Disconnect the electrical connections

There are three sets of cable that connect the hopper to the machine: the hopper thermocouple, the charge hatch sensor, and the charge hatch motor. The three cables are positioned to the left of the hopper, inside the machine body.

Disconnect all three connectors. When disconnecting, be careful to pull on the connectors only, not on the wires, in order not to damage the connectors.

Loosen the hopper nuts and remove the hopper

The hopper is secured to the drum with 4 nuts. Loosen the nuts with an 8 mm spanner, but do not remove them.

You can then rotate the hopper anticlockwise to free it from the nuts, and lift the hopper to remove it from the drum.

Reinstall the hopper

To reinstall the hopper, put it back into place and rotate clockwise to lock into position. Tighten the 4 hopper nuts gradually on alternating sides, to ensure they are evenly tightened.

Reconnect the three sets of cabling and close the front door.
